Razer Mamba / Naga Epic Chroma Battery Guide: CP-RC30B and Charging Checks

A mouse that stops responding during a game may have lost power, lost its wireless connection, or encountered a tracking problem. Identify which event occurred before deciding that its battery needs replacement.

This guide concerns the STARNOVO listing for Razer Mamba RC30-013601 and Naga Epic Chroma. It does not establish compatibility with every Mamba or Naga generation.

Replacement listing: STARNOVO CP-RC30B replacement battery, listed at 3.7V 1500mAh. Have the exact mouse and original pack verified before ordering.

Start underneath the mouse, not with the family name

Record the full product identifier from the mouse label and retain any relevant documentation. The STARNOVO listing mentions Mamba RC30-013601. Razer's Naga Epic Chroma support page identifies that product as RZ01-01230.

Use these identifiers to start a compatibility conversation, not to skip the original-pack comparison. Do not extend this listing to Mamba Wireless, Mamba HyperFlux, Naga Pro or newer Naga models simply because part of the name matches.

Power loss is not the same as a tracking fault

The mouse switches off: Record any low-battery indication, time since charging and whether normal operation returns after charging. Reduced runtime can justify battery assessment, but does not identify the cell as the only possible fault.

The mouse stays powered but the pointer stops: Investigate the normal connection, selected input setup and software. Razer's Naga Epic Chroma guidance includes trying a direct PC connection rather than a USB hub and checking relevant software and drivers.

The pointer moves erratically: Razer identifies sensor contamination, DPI settings, connection and software issues among possible causes. Replacing a battery does not automatically resolve tracking or double-click complaints.

Check the charger that belongs to this mouse

Use the cable and dock arrangement prescribed for the exact model. Record whether the mouse charges through its normal supported connection, whether it sits correctly on the dock, and whether cable movement interrupts the connection.

Do not assume that a newer Razer dock works with an older mouse. Razer's Mouse Dock Chroma support page lists specific compatible devices; a shared Chroma name is not evidence of universal dock compatibility.

Inspect accessible connections for visible damage with equipment disconnected. Do not short contacts, scrape them with metal tools or improvise a charging adapter. Use the correct model's care instructions.

What the CP-RC30B listing confirms

The STARNOVO product title lists battery reference CP-RC30B, nominal voltage 3.7V and rated replacement capacity 1500mAh. The package description specifies one replacement battery.

The current description does not provide complete pack dimensions. Request those measurements before ordering and have a qualified provider compare the original pack's label, size, protection arrangement, connector, contact functions, polarity and wire routing.

A code or matching voltage alone does not establish fit. Do not substitute a loose cell, change wiring or compress a pack to close the mouse. This is a third-party STARNOVO battery, not an original Razer product.

Keep repair planning separate from teardown instructions

Contact manufacturer support first if service coverage may apply. This article does not establish a verified opening sequence or shared internal connection for the two listed applications. Use a qualified provider who can assess the exact unit before recommending parts.

Ask the provider to consider the charging connection and electronics as well as the battery. Stop using and charging a mouse that is swollen, leaking, unusually hot or separating at the housing. Do not press the cover back against a swollen pack.

Test more than the battery indicator afterward

After service, check charging, independent wireless operation, normal pointer movement, scroll wheel and the buttons you use. Confirm that the mouse housing closes normally and movement across the usual surface remains smooth.

Compare runtime using similar lighting and usage settings. A 1500mAh rating does not guarantee a fixed number of gaming hours, improve sensor performance or repair a defective switch.

For fit questions, email sales@starnovo.com with the full mouse identifier and original battery details supplied by your provider. Do not open the device solely to obtain a battery photograph.
