Perfect battery for my Scala G9!

With a 1,088 mile (one way) motorcycle trip on the horizon, I FREAKED when my Scala G9 wouldn’t hold a charge. I researched how to replace the battery, then searched what battery I would need. Choices were either used (ummmm, NO), uber expensive with no warranty or this battery on Amazon. Excellent Scala G9 replacement battery (Torx-7 screw driver needed)

As others have written these batteries fit without issue. Remove the five Torx-7 screws and remove the old battery and replace with the new one. If I could offer some tips to help with the replacement they would be: 1) the screws are very tiny and black so I did mine in a a well lit room over a white sheet of paper. 2) pay attention to the way the spring on the antenna is when you take it apart as this will help when you put it back together. 3) the replacement battery is slightly skinnier and will be slightly loose in the device so have a piece of double sided tape or I used some really thin foam to fill the space. If you don't do either one of these the battery will rattle inside. 4) when putting the cover back on watch that you don't pinch the antenna wire or the battery wires. Overall this replacement was relatively easy cost effective.
